In December 2016, I arrived in South Caicos. And I must say, this place is a true delight for those seeking the beauty and tranquility of the sea. Everywhere you look, the views are panoramic, especially during sunset and sunrise over the horizon.
The island boasts beautiful white sand beaches, turquoise-colored seas, and stunning rock formations along the cliffs. And just around the corner, the vast Atlantic Ocean awaits. There are resort hotels located along the beaches where visitors can stay and enjoy the tropical climate. It's a perfect place to soak up the sun and run wild and free while wearing your favorite bikini. The resorts also offer water recreation for added fun during your stay.
While exploring the island, you'll notice donkeys roaming around, especially in the peninsula where shrubs and greens are abundant. Although I once considered taming one for a ride, I quickly realized they are wild and love to eat boxes from any sort. Horses also roam around the town, adding to the island's charm.
The locals in South Caicos are friendly, and the town is peaceful. Fishing is the primary source of income for many, and I even made some friends who took me fishing. Although fishing is only allowed with a license, there are still some places where anyone can fish. Life on the island is simple, far from the busy cities we know. And it's precisely this simplicity that makes life more meaningful for the islanders.
